I dare play the game of life. This is a quote from the movie Shawshank Redemption. In this movie Andy Dufresne finds an old letter that is dated from 1944. In the letter, his father tells him that he and his wife were still alive and that Andy should keep the letter and make it out like it was a good thing.
It is also revealed that his father had been imprisoned for murder and he was only saving his son's life by sending up this letter. Andy Dufresne finds himself stuck in Shawshank prison even though he has committed no crime. He is sentenced to serve between 15-25 years in prison, but ends up getting out early due to good behavior and some bribes from other prisoners.
